Noise Management Manager Finavia
Kimberley is the Noise Compliance & Performance Programme Manager at London Gatwick Airport with a demonstrated history of working in the aviation industry for 10 years. She manages a wide variety of airspace and noise projects and reporting. Kimberley chairs the Noise and Track Monitoring Advisory Group (NaTMAG) and Noise Monitoring Group at Gatwick. She manages the Noise and Track Keeping System (ANOMS) for Gatwick, provided by Envirosuite, as well as the noise monitors and continually focuses on improvements. Her focus is encouraging airlines to adopt quieter fleets and to drive continuous improvement through an active airline engagement programme. Kimberley works closely with industry members, Government and airlines to monitor and manage the noise environment for Gatwick’s local communities.
Sam Tull is an Airspace Office Analyst at London Gatwick Airport, where he has worked for the past three years. With a strong foundation in aviation operations, Sam supports a range of strategic and operational initiatives focused on airspace usage, compliance, and performance reporting. He plays a key role in analysing flight data, monitoring airspace activity, and supporting regulatory reporting requirements. Sam collaborates closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure Gatwick’s airspace operations align with national and international standards, contributing to continuous improvement and informed decision-making across the airspace programme.
Nihan has been working in the aviation sector since 2014, including five years working at a ground handling company as a Ground Operation Agent, Load Officer, and SMS (Safety Management System) Officer. Since 2019, Nihan has been working at IGA (Istanbul Grand Airport) within the Airside Operations Directorate as the Safety and Compliance Supervisor.
As part of the airport’s noise management responsibilities, Nihan and her team are in charge of conducting NMT on-site inspections, analysing and grooming data, preparing monthly reports for senior management, and responding to noise complaints.
With a Master of Science (Technology), Environmental Technology, Ari Pietilä is one of the few figures in aircraft noise sector in Finland. He is the Head of Aircraft Noise Management at Finavia, and he has six years of experience in field of aviation noise.
Ari’s expertise spans aircraft noise management, noise modelling, noise measurements, and analysis and reporting. He performed annual noise modelling reports for Helsinki Airport in 2021 and 2022. With his team, Ari conducts noise measurements for Helsinki Airport.
Ari take’s part in the ECAC EAEG AIRMOD working group and in ACI Europe Noise Task Force. Aviation is Ari’s passion, and he is a heavy ANOMS user.
