As we close the conference, we consider the vast potential a Noise and Operations (NOMS) System has beyond just noise and complaints management. This final panel discussion will delve into the additional benefits you can extract from your NOMS system including understanding operational impacts and improvements, and additional uses for noise data both internally and externally.

As the head of Research and Development for 16 years, Simon was the development lead for all major projects. At the start of 2020, Simon started a new role as the Director of Strategic Solutions to work with key airports to create an optimal product fit across the airport operations.

Principal Aviation Noise Consultant
Crawford, Murphy & Tilly, Inc
Greg is an industry-recognized expert in aviation noise abatement and flight performance analysis. In his present role as the Principal Aviation Noise Consultant for CMT, he oversees all noise management studies and lends his technical expertise to airports around the country to study complex noise management issues.

Bert Ganoung
Aircraft Noise Abatement Manager
City and County of San Francisco

While serving as Manager at SFO, Bert managed two full noise monitoring system replacements and many incremental upgrades. He was instrumental in getting SFO’s PRM\SOIA approach online, the Oceanic Tailored Arrivals program and is now on SFO’s Ground Based Augmentation System (GBAS) Implementation Team. He has served on multiple Airport Cooperative Research Program panels.

Joshua Heiss
Noise Abatement and Sustainability Officer
City of San Antionio
Joshua works at the Environmental Stewardship Division in the San Antonio Airport System as San Antonio Airport’s Noise Officer. In his current role, he oversees the daily operations of the noise complaint management system in ANOMS and works to provide excellent customer service for the communities surrounding the San Antonio Airport System.
