Noise Modelling Overview

The integrated Noise Modelling solution pairs with an external contour generation solution to create noise contours viewable in ANOMS9.

The two contour solutions both come from the FAA, which are the deprecated Integrated Noise Modelling software (INM), and the currently supported Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT).

INM integration is maintained as some customers will be still using that software, and AEDT is maintained. The main difference is that new or newer airframes and engine types will continue to be added to the AEDT database so as to maintain its modernity.

The software solution is a two-handed process between ANOMS9 and AnomsWeb; where path assignment and other operational data is assigned via rules in ANOMS, airframe and engine mapping applied via AnomsWeb and the scenario also generated in AnomsWeb.

Users would then generate the contour via the 3rd-party software before importing the contour back into the environment using AnomsWeb for viewing in ANOMS9.

Further sections of this Category will take users through the preparation steps to obtain a healthy amount of actual flight data to provide an accurate model.
