Welcome to ANOMS 9

ANOMS provides airports with an integrated approach for addressing noise issues and review airspace compliance. ANOMS is a powerful, flexible information system that meets the growing needs of airport personnel to plan, monitor, and update a noise abatement program.

The system includes:

  • Advanced computer-controlled devices for recording and measuring noise, flight tracks, and weather.
  • A powerful relational database that combines existing geographical information with on-going data acquisition.
  • A simple data input interface to manage information and produce customized letters, reports, and maps.

Overview

A Noise and Operations monitoring system must provide its users with a consolidated means of gathering, managing, evaluating, and distributing information for noise abatement programs, and identify airspace compliance. This requires:

  • Obtaining data from several sources
  • Processing data to link noise events with noise originators
  • Analysing operations against infringement rules
  • Communicating data to interested parties

ANOMS gathers and combines data from several sources including aircraft noise recorded on remote noise monitoring terminals (NMTs), Operations data from the local air traffic control tower, flight track data from a passive receiver or from active radar feeds, concerns and Complaints reported by the airport community, information about aircraft owners, weather data, census data, and map data.

ANOMS processes and integrates data by automatically linking Noise Events at each RMT (Remote Monitoring Terminal) to specific aircraft Operations and to registered complaints. ANOMS enables the user to accurately and efficiently identify the aircraft noise source and its effect on the community. Time that was spent on data acquisition and analysis can now be used to address and solve noise problems.

Once users define Violations rules (which may be for descent profiles, corridor compliance, curfews), the system will identify and capture operations that contravene the established airspace rules.

Finally, ANOMS assists the user in communicating data via customized letters, reports, and maps.
